Seth Walker is one of the coolest blues/roots artists I’ve stumbled across, in this case courtesy of friend and promotional guru Al Moss. His latest CD (self-titled) was self-released in October, 2006 but is largely undiscovered - what a shame. Grab a beer; this is good stuff.
Cool bluesy voice, rockin’ blues guitars, and sharp brass on a well-produced project. Walker wrote/cowrote a number of the tracks, including the lead track Change My Way. What’s not to like?
Based in Austin, Seth is working the Texas/I-35 tour schedule across the state, but few dates outside the region. Try to catch a show - I hear that he’s the real deal live, and one of the few shows I wish I had caught during SxSW.

Update: Seth has signed with Hyena Records, a smart move by Hyena.
